Here come the Heroes of Adventure!

And so gentle readers, some time ago I came across an excellent complete set of free D&D/Savage Worlds/OSRish ruleset created by the talented https://nameless-designer.itch.io/ . The amount of material available is outstanding, the entire packages comes with  a Monster Manual, a Player's Handbook, a Referee Guides and three complete adventures, all free for the taking. I have been in the mood for a solo sandbox adventure or play an older classic D&D module...  looking at you B10 Night's Dark Terror;  So, without further delay, I started reading the Player's Handbook and generated several characters for my upcoming adventures ...

First up is Amarin, the half-elf, forest born, necromancer spy; Oh, character creation is dead simple and super flavorful, but don't just take my word for it, try it out yourself. 

Then, it's Tar (Taranath), the beast-man, giant blood, bounty hunter. A true primal warrior and a force of nature to be reckoned with.

World building with Ironswon Delve - Nocturia

Using Delve for world building... This evening I was in the mood for a bit world building and decided to use the very nice Ironsworn Delve supplement for starters.  The idea is to further supplement the setting with additional random tables as we go along. Let's roll some bones: Theme -> d8 -> rolled a 6, ravaged. Time, weather or calamity have taken its toll and laid waste to the land. A decent start for the overarching geography for this world. Features -> d20 -> rolled a 16, traces of what was lost. Dangers -> d30 -> rolled 30, ravages return anew. This should cover possible adversities or adversaries to be faced by the PCs when journeying  in this world. Our world so far... The ravaged lands of Nocturia extend as far as the I can see.
